Bryce Aron will further expand his racing resumé this weekend as he takes part in the annual ‘Roar Before The 24’ in preparation for his IMSA WeatherTech Series debut in the world-famous Rolex 24 at Daytona at the end of the month.
The Illinois native, who turned heads with some impressive results in his first season of Indy NXT competition in 2024, will not only be making his series and Daytona debut this weekend, but will also be making his first appearance in one of Porsche’s formidable 963 GTP Hypercars, having been signed to complete a star-studded line-up at JDC-Miller MotorSports. Aron, 21, will join reigning Formula E world champion and Porsche factory driver Pascal Wehrlein, as well as the team’s full-season pairing of Tijmen van der Helm and Gianmaria Bruni, in the famous yellow JDC-Miller colours as three days of testing set the scene for qualifying on Thursday 23rd January and the twice-around-the-clock race at Daytona International Speedway the following weekend.
Aron makes his first foray into prototype racing on the back of a highly-successful rookie season in Indy NXT with Andretti Global in 2024. Across 14 starts, he achieved two podiums and eight top-10 finishes, and will return to challenge for overall championship honours with HMD Motorsports in 2025. Prior to returning to the United States, Aron enjoyed success in BRDC British F3, Euroformula Open F3, Formula Regional Oceania and Formula Ford, where he raced in the UK as part of the Team USA Scholarship programme, culminating in a podium finish at the prestigious Walter Hayes Trophy event at Silverstone.

Aron will remain with Peak Performance Management for a fourth year in 2025, receiving full coaching and management support from the company headed up by Formula Renault champions and GP3 race winners Matthew Parry and Kevin Korjus.

The 63rd running of the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, which takes place over the weekend of 23-25 January, is the first of eleven scheduled rounds of the IMSA WeatherTech Series.
