Cardinal Sports PR and Media was conceived in 2009 as the freelance outlet for experienced sports journalist Craig Llewellyn

A product of the School of Public Relations at Leeds Metropolitan University, all-round sports enthusiast and former hockey international, Craig has developed interests and experience across the sporting spectrum, including a spells as editor at both Gridiron magazine and motorsport website Crash.net, contributor to the prestigious Autocourse yearbook and PR officer to teams and individuals in a variety of arenas, specialising in those at grassroots level.

From Bryn Hafren to Brands Hatch, the company's reach encompasses clients many others deem too small, but Craig’s background has also provided an opportunity to work with some of motorsport’s biggest names, including motorsport legend Sir Stirling Moss and F1 world champions Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg, Nigel Mansell and Mika Hakkinen; as well as interview grand prix stars past and present Nick Heidfeld, Timo Glock, Heikki Kovalainen, Riccardo Patrese, Johnny Herbert and Anthony Davidson, Indycar’s Paul Tracy and Will Power, and sportscar aces Tom Kristensen and Simon Pagenaud.

Working with the Crash Media Group also provided experience managing websites for Le Mans winners David Brabham and Mark Blundell, and Indycar's Katherine Legge and Takuma Sato.

These days, Cardinal continues to serve clients across the motorsport world, from karting to the World Endurance Championship, as well as teams, players and media outlets in sports as diverse as American football and field hockey.
